Refund Policy

Last updated: 26 May 2026

This policy explains when refunds apply to Countertop Office ("the app") subscriptions. It is in addition to — and does not limit — your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If the app is not provided with due care and skill, is not fit for the purpose we described, or fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to a remedy. For a major failure you may choose a refund; for a minor failure we may instead resolve the problem within a reasonable time. Nothing in this policy removes those rights.

2. Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel, your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be billed again. Cancelling does not, on its own, trigger a refund for the current period.

3. Change of mind

We are not required to provide a refund simply because you have changed your mind. For monthly plans we do not generally refund the current month, as you keep access until it ends. For annual plans, if you contact us within 14 days of the start of a new annual term and have made only limited use of the app, we will consider a refund of the unused portion at our discretion.

4. When we provide a refund

We will provide a refund where required by the Australian Consumer Law, where the app is unavailable for a prolonged period due to a fault on our side, or where you have been charged in error. Refunds are made to the original payment method within a reasonable time of being approved.

5. How to request a refund

To request a refund, email [email protected] with the email address on your account and a brief description of the issue. We aim to respond within 5 business days. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may contact the consumer protection agency in your state or territory, or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (accc.gov.au).
